Cycle Chain is currently working with British Waterways regarding the possibility of a floating bike store for commuters in Birmingham City Centre. The aim is to provide cheap and secure storage during the day for commuters using Birmingham's extensive canal network, employing people from our target groups. Our scheme has the added benefit of being able to provide same day servicing of bikes while they are being stored, meaning you can collect your bike the same evening and never need be without it. Watch this space for more information on this project as we have it.
We are continuing to expand our work with Birmingham schools providing great value bikes with follow on servicing to ensure that the bikes remain roadworthy.
To further demonstrate our expertise in this area, if it were needed, we are currently involved in re-drafting the City and Guilds 3993 Cycle Maintenance and Repair course to bring it up to date with modern bike technology.
